The intake of alcohol is not strange to me; In reverence to our Lord Jesus; I invite to lay aside every weight of justification and arguments, and humbly seek help through the truth and knowledge of God. God loves you and longs to have you as a Son; come and drink of Him in Jesus Name.
Let’s look together at who the preparer of the wine is, to determine its content!
1. The wine was prepared by Jesus.
2. Jesus who can do all things that maybe lawful but not expedient.
3. Jesus who can never comprise his nature. Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore, ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
4. Jesus who said, “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me” John 14:30.
5. Jesus the holy one who calls us to be holy “but as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy” 1 Peter 1:15-16
6. Jesus who is in the father and the father in him, John 14:10, where would he have kept the strange substance.
7. Jesus, the one from whom the Holy Spirit, gets information from and declares to us, could he be adulterated?
8. Jesus the one who refused the drugged vinegar even at death; Matthew 27:34
9. Jesus who ascended to heaven to meet the father, would he have arrived tipsy?
10. Jesus whose food was to do the will of the father and finish it-John 4:34, even at the wedding, he was eating his favorite meal.
11. Jesus whose life was ministry, preaching the word and instant in season and out of season. 2 Timothy 4:2, could he have been so careless to be under the influence of a strange ingredient?
12. Jesus who encouraged his disciples to watch and pray so as not to enter temptation -Matthew 26:41.
13. The Lord also asks us to be vigilant and sober for the devil is like a roaring lion looking for who to devour. Would he have been drunk and abort the rescue of mankind God sent him to do?
14. The Spirit of the Lord within us is the quickening spirit that brings physical and spiritual healing. Will he need the intake of a substance that is destructive to body and spirit for our healing?
15. Jesus who said if ye love me, keep my commandment- John 14:15, and it also written that he honors his word above his name; could he have dishonored his word?
