John 2:10:And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now
A winemaker or vintner oversees the production process at wineries to make wine available and accessible to man. We can access wine through three major ways:
i.) those who own the vineyards or grapes and work with a team to oversee the production and distribution.
ii) those who buy from vineyards and focus only on production and distribution,
iii) those who receive the finished product and distribute it.
The first category could think they have it all since they are responsible for the entire value chain; the second category would be happy about gaining time through outsourcing the acquisition of grapes and only engage in some parts of the chain; the third category would say, they do not really have time for all that, they have a ready market and network, so will focus only on the distribution.
The above three persons are definitely experts and skillful in what they do and must have thoroughly vetted their processes. However, they are at the mercy of certain factors that could and would eventually affect every system and process put in place.
Let’s consider some basic factors; natural, such as weather, technical such as break down in equipment, physical as in poor health of the staff, socio- cultural as not everybody can drink wine, economical in available cash to pay for the wine, political through restrictions or bans, or even legal when consumer complains start coming in or its users violate the law because of the state in which they are after drinking this..
Can we fully depend on these professionals to satisfy our thirst for good wine or basic needs on a daily or per-second basis? I doubt it.
May I introduce to you, The grape, The vine, The producer, The Distributor, and The Wine: Jesus, The Christ. The I am, the one who was before Abraham, The All Sufficient one. The Omniscient one
1 Corinthians 10:4 tells us “And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
Christ is not limited by anything, anyone, or any circumstance… In John 15:5 He says” I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing”
What do you depend on? Do you see it as being sustainable? What results have you achieved so far? Are your results limited to you or do they extend to others? What gives you the most fulfillment, is it your ability, or capacity? Do you have peace?
Take time and ponder and kindly share your experiences.
God Bless you
