The greatest prayer is Love!
Please say a pray for me, remember me in your place of prayer, I need prayer; are common sayings; someone must have expressed that to you, or you must have heard someone say it.
How easy can this be? with good intentions and willingness to pray, we may not often pray or prayed for, not because we do not wish well, but simply human nature to sometimes forget, procrastinate or prioritize self.
Let’s see a simple way to consistently pray for others, LOVE.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends, John 15:13. The Sacrifice of Love is a deep level of prayer. Love goes with a pure heart. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God- Matthew 5:8
One of the ways we see God is through communicating with Him, one of such channels of communication is prayer. Your level of purity determines the level of true revelation received. When our heart is pure, true, and honest towards people, the Spirit of the Lord ministers to us clearly in visions, in revelation, in dreams on sensitive issues that need attention, we can thereafter stand with the said persons in prayer either to allow or disallow.
How do you explain a message of comfort you receive just when you are low in spirit? the unplanned visit to your home, a timely phone call or a basket of fruits received? It is more than a coincidence; it is a sincere heart receiving directives from the Lord and reaching out to you physically. So, if we guard iniquity, evil in our heart, the Lord cannot hear us (Psalm 66:18.) for ourselves and others.
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Matthew 22:37-39
It’s not mere intuition, it’s a right heart connected to you. Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: 1 Timothy 1:5.
Can we examine our hearts now; is our love conditional, is it dependent on performance, or is it pure and honest. ? with a pure heart you can pray for as many people as the Spirit of God leads you.
